As they proceed to get closer to you... the 5 year old yells out "MAN YOUR FAT!" Now tell me that wouldn't ruin your day when you already feel like a big fat balloon, your husband is gone, and all you want to do is look normal again! UGH!! What a day!

Snow Day
While I was experiencing 90 degree weather in Southern California in NOVEMBER, Jayson was getting 4-6 inches of snow in Korea! I actually miss the cold. I wish California had 4 distinct seasons instead of just Spring and Summer all year long!

update
Whew! What a busy couple of weeks I've had. I've purchased a home for Jayson and I, enjoyed a wonderful baby shower, and helped give a baby shower the following weekend for my step-sister. What more can I do at 34 weeks pregnant? hmmm... maybe run a marathon?? no, I'll leave that up to my sister and brother in law to do!
We had a great time last week with all the family in town. We celebrated Thanksgiving a bit early this year since my sister and her family were in town for the week. My sister, David, and myself had to figure out how to cook a turkey while my parents worked the whole day. Where was Jayson when we needed his help? The turkey did come out great! Thank goodness! Everyones left and the house is quite again. It's always hard to say goodbye, especially when you don't know when you'll be seeing them again.

As for our little Gwen... she's doing great! I had my first ATU appt. yesterday. Now don't ask me what that stands for, but they measure my fluid, look at the placenta, and monitor her heart rate as well as mine for about 45 min. I do this every week until she arrives. Apparently, she's taking after her daddy... she has a large head! Not good! She's still in the breeched position, which I don't mind. I like to think she would rather be close to my heart. We are still scheduled for a c-section Dec. 23rd.
Jayson's doing well in Korea. He's getting pretty anxious to come home. I think we all are. He said they have about 4-6 inches of snow on the ground. Very different from Southern California's 80-90 degree weather we are having right now. I miss the changing of the seasons. This will be our first Thanksgiving away from one another. He will be enjoying a Thanksgiving feast with the other Pantons. I guess they also do something special at the orphanage that they all go to once a week. I can't wait to hear the stories.
That's about it for now! I hope everyone is doing great and looking forward to the upcoming holidays. I still need to start my Christmas shopping. I know... this is not like me not to have my shopping done already!

Baby Shower (Nov. 8th)
Well, last weekend my mom and sisters threw me a baby shower. It was a beautiful 82 degree day, so we decided to have it in the backyard. We ate yummy Pat & Oscars food and had fantastic butterfly cupcakes made by Christy and myself.
Thank you for all the wonderful gifts! Jayson and I feel a little more prepared for the arrival of our little Gwen. She will also be one well dressed little girl!

Our New Home
Well I did it! I bought our home in Las Vegas for our next assignment. Thanks to my good friends Dave and Nikki for allowing me to stay with them and for the abundance amount of help when I had questions and decisions to be make. I'm exhausted, sick, and never want to do this again by myself!
I bought the house brand new. It was one of their houses on their inventory that they wanted to sell. I didn't get to choose the cabinets, granite, fixtures, etc.., but all of those are upgraded in the home. When I put in my offer I got a lower price and had them paint the inside. There will be two-toned paint throughout. I also upgraded on the carpet and tile.
The house is about 2466 sq. feet. It has 4 bedroom, 3 full baths, den, family room, dining, 2 car garage with more storage space, and much more. The pantry in the kitchen is gigantic. All the rooms upstairs have walk in closets, especially the master.
The only thing we have to do when we move in is put in the backyard. I'm going to wait for Jayson on that one. I think I've done enough already!
