Look whose 5 months old!

Gwen is getting so big and has a spitfire personality. Jayson says she's just like her mother, but I'm not sure if I agree with that completely. She does let you know what she wants and when she wants it. I guess that's me to an extent. She is starting to laugh a lot more and her smiles are just too darn cute. I also love the chubby cheeks. I have no clue where she gets those from, but we love them. She is also starting to get separation anxiety. Anyone, including my mom, that she goes to she doesn't like until I hold her again and then after a few minutes she'll go back to them. Hopefully this doesn't last too long. We are still waiting for her first tooth to come in. She puts anything and everything in her mouth, and the drool...woo we have to change our clothes often throughout the day because she's soaked. The newest accomplishment... she has just figured out how to jump in her jumperoo and not just wiggle to make the music start. I will try and get a video up of that soon.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today Jayson turned the big 32! Whew 32! I can't believe it's been 10 years since we met! Gwen wanted to celebrate this morning with her Elmo birthday hat, so they both posed for a picture.
We took Jayson to the airport this morning to fly to Utah to pick up a jet and fly it home, so our original birthday plans were messed up. Oh well. When he gets home we will go out to eat and have some yummy German chocolate cake (daddy's favorite).
Since we celebrate birthdays for a week in this house...well at least that's what we like to think anyways... on Saturday Jayson and I are going to see a show called Le Reve at the Wynn. Hopefully it's good since the tickets weren't cheap!

Great Get Away

For Memorial weekend Jayson and I decided to go to California and visit some family. Our first stop was Hesperia to visit Jayson's grandparents. Gwen got to meet some of her cousins and celebrated her 5 month birthday there. We had a great time visiting everyone up there. On Saturday morning we headed down to Chula Vista to visit Jayson's Aunt. They were camping down there, so it was Gwen's first time camping. It was also the first time she has ever taken a bath in a sink. She was not too impressed by it. Sunday morning we all got up and went to Fort Rosecrans in Point Loma. It was a very moving experience seeing all the flags at each grave stone. We are all so very blessed to live in a country were freedom rings and it's all because of those who sacrifcie their lives everyday for us. After Fort Rosecrans we decided to go to Sea World for a few hours. It was the busiest I've ever seen it. It was a great time anyways. After Sea World we were off to my parents for the night. On Monday we had a family get together and a wonderful bbq. Here are some pictures of our much needed time away from Las Vegas.

Every week some of the wives who have little ones Gwen's age get together to let the kids play, but more so for some adult interaction. Gwen and I hosted playgroup today and it was Miss Annie's 1st birthday, so with the help of Teresa and Abigail we threw her a little party. It was too much fun!

Happy Mother's Day!

It's been a great mommies weekend. Yes weekend! I decided I needed more than just one day off. Yesterday we relaxed, watched movies, went and got a pedicure together, and enjoyed a yummy dinner prepared by my husband. Today the dog and baby were fed before I got up at 6am.... NICE, and then when I was done getting ready for church... breakfast was ready!
Church was great! Gwen was dedicated along with 11 other little ones. It was so neat to see all of them up on stage. Gwen did a great job! She didn't say one peep the entire time. We were very shocked and impressed with her mood as yesterday was a different story.
Now it is time for a quick mommy nap and then off to do some outdoor activies as a whole family (including our Magnum).

Bath Time

Last night was the first night Gwen got me!! Yes, she got me!

I don't have a lot of pictures of her in the bath, so last night was the night... so I thought. I only got 3 pictures and she has the mug look yet again in all of them.
My daughter is just like her father when it comes to pictures. She hates them!

Anyways, after the few pictures I got I put the camera down to get her all lathered up with soap. I rinsed her hair and right as I was getting her towel ready to get her out of the bath I heard a big grunt. Yes, she pooped!!! Oh my goodness! I scared her so bad with my "oh no!" that she cried the rest of the time. What a night! I wanted to get more pictures after the bath, but that was definitely not happening.

8.stayed inside and played some more because it was 99 degrees here! ugh!

This is for you Alison!

So I thought I was only going to be on the computer for a second, but no. I clicked on a friends blog to see the new entry and well, I was tagged! Yes, this is for you Alison.

Here is a picture of me right now! Oh so wonderful looking me! My make-up is already half gone. Yes, its in the 90's here already and it's not the hottest part of the day yet. ugh!

After going to playgroup with Miss Gwen, we went and ran a few errands until she decided she was going to scream/cry the whole way home. We got home and I put her down for a nap and she was out 5 minutes later. So now here I am, writing on my blog for Alison. I just got finished eating my lunch, bringing in the dog food, cleaning up the kitchen, making a dentist appointment, and getting ready to sweep and mop the floor (my absolute favorite...not!)

Jayson's good for the day!

Jayson was on a walk with Magnum this evening while I was upstairs catching up on some things. 15 minutes into the walk he came running in with Magnum saying, "I'll be right back... I have to go save some geese!" Now you can only imagine what I was thinking. "Geese where? In our neighborhood? Hmmm Jayson must be seeing things." A couple minutes later Jayson came walking in the door with two baby geese. I told him we couldn't keep them because Magnum would have eaten them in 2.5 seconds. So we put them in Jayson's truck and he was off to the local pond to hopefully help the geese make new friends. Here are some pictures he took of them. Oh and yes... they pooped three times in the truck! ugh!

Radio Flyer Wagon Ride

Sunday we went to Star Nursery to get some stepping stones. They had wagons for baskets, so here is Miss Gwen getting a ride. This was her 2nd ride in a wagon. The first was with Molly and the twins at 6 weeks old.
