Gwen's 1st trip to the Beach!!

While we were in San Diego we took Gwen to the beach for the first time. She loved it!! I wasn't sure if she was going to like the water, but after a while she was a little waterbaby.

Family Time

We left last Tuesday for a 5 day trip to San Diego to see Jayson's family. Jayson's grandmother passed away this past January so the main reason for going down there was for her memorial. We did however enjoy the many memories we made throughout the week with his family. Most of them have never met Gwen, so it was a lot of fun seeing them interact with her. The best part was seeing how 13 of us could manage camping in two campers without killing one another. We stayed at Campland by the Bay in Mission Bay. It was actually a lot of fun!

laundry time

Before we left for our trip to San Diego I was busy trying to do more than one thing at a time, and that gets tough with a 6 month old. So, I decided to put her in the laundry basket and take her upstairs with me to get some more things done. She seemed to have enjoyed the ride!

Bed time

Gwen was too cute last night when Jayson was getting her ready for bed. As you can see she was all smiles!!! It's been so hot here that her pj's are too warm for her at night so we have decided to put her in a onesie and a pair of her 3 month comfy pants (which are now more like capris on her). She is also sporting her very cool Korean socks that have bear rattles on the toes. She loves them!

It's been around 108-110 degrees at our house this past week. So, we decided to get the little blue pool out and swim a bit. Daddy didn't want to put one of Gwen's several cute bathing suits on, so we went in our swim diaper instead. As we were out there, mommy had the novel idea to have daddy feed Gwen in the pool since he gets the food everywhere. Magnum was right there to help in any way he could to clean her right up. What wonderful helpers I have!

It's Party Time!

So many of Gwen's friends are turning 1! From Miss Annie in May, to Miss Abby's turn this past weekend, and in a couple of weeks it will be Miss Abigail's turn. Whew! On Sunday we put on our party hats on and partied away. Well, Gwen was just not herself that day and to top it off she was sat on by a very new walker. It scared her so bad that she didn't stop crying the entire party. So needless to say we left party early.

6 Months old

Yesterday was Gwen's 6 month check up. Well I guess 6 1/2 month check up. Oh well, can't have everything! She currently weighs 16 pounds. She is in the 50 percentile for her weight and the 45 percentile for her height. I guess she is going to be petite like me. She has the tiniest feet ever! They are too cute!

Our bikini debut

Before we went to South Dakota the pool event lasted approx. 2 minutes that's it. Well, yesterday I took the plunge and tried it again by myself. We had success. We stayed there for 45 min. It was great! Today we decided to do it again. This time in our bikini! Too freakn cute! Our stay didn't last as long as yesterday's did, but it was fun. The first picture I was actually saying cheese and look at the face that came of it! Too funny!

Pactola Lake, South Dakota

Boating, Fishing, Reading, Relaxing... what more could you want on vacation. This was Gwen's first time on a boat and she did fantastic! When brought her pink duck tub for her to enjoy playing in while on the boat. She too darn cute!

Bear Country USA

One of the many different things to do in South Dakota in the summer is go to Bear Country USA. You drive through each animal exhibit. The animals are all free roaming so they could eventually come very close to your car. As you look at the pictures you can actually see a black bear walking right next the our car. It was the coolest thing ever. We saw elk, buffalo, bears, wolves, and so much more. Once we finished the drive we stopped at the end to look at babyland. We had to get out for this part. It was set up very much like a zoo is. The best part was the baby cubs. At one point there were about 11 cubs up in this tiny tree playing. It was fantastic!!
