Introducing....Major Jayson Rickard!

Today was Jayson's official pinning on ceremony. He is now a Major!! It really just means more money in the bank for me to spend. Ha! It was a very quick ceremony, with Gwen and I pulling off his Captain ranks, to enjoying a good spread of Memphis BBQ to share with all the pilots in the squadron. Congratulations Major Jayson Rickard. We love you lots!

It's a Gymboree and Flip-n-Out Day

Last Thursday was a lot of fun for Gwen... and daddy too! We started the morning out going to Gymboree. From the 1st time we went to now, so completely different with Gwen. She knows the routine, the dances, and the songs. She has no fear going down the slide many different ways, and now the new thing is walking across the balance beam. She still is not a fan of the tunnels though.

The theme for the day was ROCK and ROLLING. All the kids helped roll the big air log.

We were rocking on the air log like a teetertoter. Gwen was not good at taking turns on this event. She wanted to be on it all the time.

After Gymboree we headed to the preschooler playgroup at Flip-N-Out. Its a large warehouse with bouncy slides, castles, and a huge trampoline to jump and run across on. It was Gwen's first time and definitely won't be her last. She had soooo much fun. Oh and Jayson did too!

San Antonio Vacation

Jayson had to go to Texas for a medical appointment, so Gwen and I decided to join him for the rest of the week and visit my sister and her family. We had the best time! Wednesday we took Gwen and Isaac to the childrens museum downtown. That museum blows the Las Vegas childrens' museum out of the park. Gwen had soooo much fun! I would have to say the fish were her absolute favorite with shopping at the HEB store not far behind. She loved putting things into her shopping cart and then checking out at the end. She knew exactly what to do. hmmm maybe because we do that every week!

After the museum we took Isaac to see an F-16. He loved it!


Thursday we met up with a good friend of mine, Stacee Dockendorf and her daughter Sydney at Sea World. I met Stacee when we were stationed in Utah. We both didn't have any children at the time. Times sure have changed for both of us.
I think the best attraction for both Sydney and Gwen was the splash park they had. It was sooo hot and humid that day it was a great way for them to cool off.

On Friday we took a trip to Gruene in Texas. It's a small little town with cute shops and a fun restuarant to eat at. Gruene also has the oldest dance hall in Texas. Then we came back and enjoyed some swimming time and park time. Poor Gwen got really sick that evening. And poor daddy had to clean the carseat out. Not a fun night of cleanup.

On Saturday we took the kids to the circus. I haven't been to the circus since I was a little girl. We saw elephants, and tigers, and lots of clowns doing their thing. Jayson and David we also picked out of the crowd for one of the opening acts. Yes, to play with some clowns and play musical chairs. Gwen thought it was great. She kept yelling dadda and waving.

The fun didn't stop there. On Sunday we took a trip to Fiesta Texas and enjoyed a few rides and then the waterpark they have there. It was muched needed as the weather was soooo HOT!







Here are some random pictures we took at the house. It's amazing how 3 little people can mess a room up in just a few seconds. Gwen and Jocelyn enjoyed climbing over the couch and landing on pillows. Our daughter has no fear whats so ever.
