Bath Time
Well we attempted a bath yet again. We forgot to take pictures of the first bath. Gwen doesn't seem to like it yet. Hopefully that will change soon!

The story of Gwenyth Lee Rickard
The week has been one exciting but very exhausting week for both Jayson and I. Monday morning Jayson flew into LAX. We finally met up at about 12:30ish. It was really nice being reunited with your husband... especially before we were to become a family of four..(that's also including Magnum)
On Tuesday morning we were scheduled to have a c-section, because our little Gwen was in the breeched position. So, at 4:30am Jayson, my parents, and I were off to the Naval Hospital on Camp Pendleton. Yes, we had to be there at 5am! At least we didn't have to deal with the traffic!! Once we got into the hospital we only had to wait a few hours until we went into surgery. At approximately 6:30am I was taken down into the OR to get the process started.
Once I was wheeled into the surgery room they started my spinal. Whew... that was not fun at all. My blood pressure started at 161 before the spinal and then immediately went to 81 when it was in place. That then triggered me getting sick. Yes, I got sick everywhere!! ugh! But, the ending result was fabulous. Jayson came in and boom... Miss Gwen made her appearance 5 minutes later. Jayson was emotional for the both of us.
From start to finish the surgery took about 45 minutes to complete. Once I was all stitched up, they wheeled my into the recovery room. My parents, Erika, and Jayson were all allowed to be there with me in that room while I recovered before going upstairs into the 'luxurious hospital room' that was awaiting us.
I was very lucky to have Jayson with me the entire stay at the hospital. If it wasn't for him I would probably have gotten upset with some of the nurses.
You know someone really loves you when you look like the marshmellow man and you need assistance with bathing. Gosh, I have an amazing husband! He did all of the changing of the diapers, getting up to bring her to me everytime I need to feed her, helped me in an out of bed, and so much more.
We arrived home on Christmas Day. What a blessing God has given us. Even though Christmas didn't feel like Christmas... it was the best day and gift anyone could ask for!

We're trying this again!
I have the most amazing friend and realtor in Las Vegas. On Sunday my realtor went out house hunting for Jayson and I. She came back with 4 houses that were possibilities. I looked them over and had her and my good friend Nikki go out the next morning to look at it again. Nikki has been such a blessing through this whole mess! She said it was a great house, especially for the price! So, I put in an offer ,site unseen, and the offer was accepted by the bank this morning! Pray that there are no problems with it structurally. You never know what you are buying when you buy foreclosures.
Here are some pictures of the house.

House Issue
well... we lost the house. We were suppose to close on it next week and the builder still decided not to come down to the apprasial price. So now we have to go house hunting yet again, but with a newborn this time! Not my idea of fun!! What do we do... we need to have faith that this was not the home for us and the Lord has something else in mind. Please keep us in your prayers as this has been one trying, and frustrating issue to deal with.
I guess this will be our next home...

yet another update...
I had another ATU appointment today. Everything is going quite well for our little girl. Her heartbeat is fantastic, my blood pressure is the lowest I've ever seen it, and she still close to my heart. She rather be riding along in my tummy head up than head down. We are still on for the 23rd. Looking forward to that, but also to seeing my husband again! I would have to speak for Magnum and I both on that one!
As for our Vegas house... well we've had a little set back. Hopefully we'll hear back from the builder tomorrow regarding the situation. Worse case scenario... mid January... my parents, Gwen, and I will be off house hunting once again. UGH!! Definitely not something we had in our plans.
Thank you for all your prayers during the long and trying pregnancy, separation, and house hunting.
Hope your holidays are getting off to a great start!
