Water balloons and slip n slides

On Jayson's actual birthday we ran errands, but had some outdoor fun that we were suppose to enjoy on Friday at his party.  

Gwen and Jayson had a water balloon fight and enjoyed some slip n slide time

 After a few tries she finally got the hang of it

 Then the big man went.  

 We tried getting Addison down it,but as you can see she was not having it.  The water was too cold.

Adventureland

Saturday and Monday we enjoyed time as a family at Adventureland, an amusement park in Des Monies. Yes, Des Moines actually has something like that.  

Saturday was sooooo hot and humid we played most the day at Adventure Bay, which is a watermark located in park as well.

 Then mommy got to take her on the next one.  I had no clue that thing was going to spin us 360 while going down.  Whew, I got off not feeling to well.

 She rode this one a few times.  We might just have another pilot on our hands

 Day 2 and she's still being a good sport.  She got to ride on the carousel and ferris wheel and loved them both.

 Gwen said this ride was totally awesome!  It made her bum feel funny.  We think she meant her tummy.

Happy 1/2 way to 40 Honey!

Jayson made out this weekend.  His birthday was actually on Sunday, but somehow he was able to celebrate it all weekend.  All 4 days might I add.  

Friday we had a birthday bbq at our house with a few families from the squadron.  When I originally planned the party the weather was suppose to be beautiful and warm.  Well, we had beautiful midwest weather... um thunderstorms.  We enjoyed ourselves anyways.

The other morning I came downstairs to this.  Gwen decided to take EVERY SINGLE stuffed animal she owns and pile them up with Addison in the exersaucer.  Silly girls!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was nice and relaxing.  I got to sleep in, had breakfast in bed, did a little shopping, ran some errands, and just had a good time with my family.

Reptile Gardens

We met up with some friends of ours who were also touring the Black Hills the same time we were. 

First stop, the Reptile Gardens..another one of Jayson's favorites.  Gwen seemed to have enjoyed herself as well.  Jayson tried to convince her that she should have a snake as a pet when she gets older.
