Squadron Christmas Party

This year Jayson and I hosted our Squadrons Christmas Party. Oh my did we have a lot of people in our home, but it was so much fun. We had about 40 people or so all dressed up in their 'Ugly' sweaters. Yes, I had a theme to the party... 'The Ugly Sweater Party'. It was great seeing people get into the spirit and playing along. We also had a white elephant gift exchange that made for some good laughs. Lots of shake weights, an easy bake, beer maker, and the best jungle jugs. We had a great time... and so did Gwen. Poor thing finely got to bed at 11pm. (Way past her bedtime)

Patch Night

Another class graduates, which means a night out with the ladies. Every six months Jayson's squadron graduates 10 pilots as weapons officers. (for those who are not familiar... Jayson went through this course in 07 for six months) The top 10% of the Air Force's fighter pilots get accepted into this school. It's a very long and extremely difficult and demanding school to get through, so when we reach 'patch night' its party time for the IP wives and Student wives. (OK its really to congratulate their significant other for a job well done, but we get to enjoy ourselves as well)

ACA Awards

This past Monday I had the opportunity to go to the ACA Awards (American Country Awards)with a couple of friends. I didn't find out about the ticket until 1pm and had to meet the girls at 3pm. Fortunately, Jayson had the day off so I was able to go. It was AWESOME!! Some of you may not know that I LOVE country music, so to get this opportunity was fantastic.
Trace Adkins hosted the show and performed along with Alan Jackson, Easton Corbin, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Blake Shelton, Steel Magnolia, Lady Antebellum, Josh Turner and Uncle Kracker.

Okay we tried it.

I took Gwen to join the preschool playgroup last Tuesday for a dance class at Fairy tales and Tutus here in Vegas. Gwen is more of a 'tomboy'. She likes to climb, jump, kick, and well do all things not girly. So, going to this dance class was either going to show us we were wrong with our theory or right.

Overall, Gwen was not too thrilled. I think shes more of a sports girl. We may try this again at another playgroup, but as for enrolling her into some type of dance class...um no.

Weapon School Children Christmas Party

Every year, the weapons school puts on a Christmas Party for the kids. There are lots of craft activities to do, bouncy houses to jump in, and an opportunity to meet the jolly old guy for some pictures. Last year, Santa flew in on an F-15 (I think) this year he arrived on a helicopter.

Decorating Christmas Cookies

Okay, we tried it! I invited a few of Gwen's friends over to decorate cookies last Friday. Out of the six, Gwen and Pj were the only ones who really got the idea of decorating them. Gwen said she was painting them. The rest of the clan never got the frosting on their cookie. It went straight to their mouths. It was a ton of fun making memories with Gwen and hanging out with awesome friends and their kiddos.
