Gymnastics

I signed Gwen up for gymnastics again. The first session was pretty interesting to say the least. This class is very different from her gymboree class. She has to sit, watch, and listen to the directions, which is very difficult for a two year old. Now that we are in our second session, she seems to be doing a lot better. The class is 45 minutes long, but Gwen usually checks out about 30 min into it.

Hiking at Red Rock Canyon

On Saturday we went hiking at Red Rock Canyon, yes I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and managed to make it. It was actually a really easy hike and a nice morning, so it was managable. This particular hike, First Creek Trail, has a waterfall at the end. Okay it wasn't the end, but it was for me!! HA.

Sesame Street Live

I had a great Mother's Day this year. I know I seem to repeat myself every year, which is a good thing. The day started off with daddy getting up to get Gwen (1 point). Next, he made my favorite breakfast, Finnish pancakes (2 points). A special gift was waiting for me in the kitchen. (3 points) I got a digital photoframe. All the pictures of 2011 were on it. I love it!. Then we went off to church and heard a great sermon. (4 points) After church it was out to lunch with my two favorite people. (5 points). After a much needed nap by all (150 points) we headed off to see our favorite guy ELMO!!! Yes, we went and saw Elmo and his friends live. Gwen was in heaven!. She enjoyed them from afar, but was not thrilled when they got remotely close to us. After the show we headed off for some Five Guys burgers (6 points). Daddy gave Gwen a bath and put her to bed. I got to climb right in bed and relax! LOVED IT!!! (450 points for the day)

Thank you Jayson, Gwen, and Magnum too for such a special day. I love you!

Camping in Pahrump, NV

A couple weeks ago we took a much needed family trip away from Vegas. We didn't go very far...Jayson called it a staycation. Anyways, we were told about a really nice campground in Pahrump, Nv. If any of you know about Pahrump, you would ask why go there? Definitely not a fancy place, but this campground was incredible. All of the spots were a good size, a man made lake to go peddle boating and fish, a pool and spa, bike trails, and so much more. It was a very quiet and relaxing family vacation.
