New York City

Jayson and I had the opportunity to go back east for a wedding in Massachusetts while my mom stayed back in Vegas with Gwen and Magnum. It was a much needed vacation for the two of us. Now we are broke!!! Ha Oh well, it was worth it. We flew out of Vegas to JFK last Thursday. From the airport we took as many public transportation's as we could think of. whew! Oh how I love to people watch especially on the subway!!! Anyways, we stayed at the Double tree in the upper east side of Manhattan. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel or location. Once we got settle we went out on the streets for some fun. OK just to figure out where the heck we were in that big city. Jayson enjoyed some street food while I made a safer choice with a subway sandwich.

We found the today show because I had the brilliant idea of going there the next morning at 7am forgetting it was really 4 am our time. What was I thinking?? Okay we didn't make it, but we did go down to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty instead. It was amazing to be that close to it. After that we went to see Ground Zero. What a sight to see. I think I would have felt different if there wasn't all the construction going on there at the time. Then we were off to see China Town and Little Italy. Funny thing is we got lost and just followed some Asian man around. I know stupid tourists, but he got us there! Ha.

After a much needed nap we went to Central Park to see and enjoy all the street performers. No we never did see the naked cowboy singing. Bummer I know! We at some yummy Italian food in Times Square and then yes we did some more people watching in Times Square. We had some good laughs there.

On Saturday we took the subway back to JFK and rented a car to drive with everyone and their grandmother to Connecticut. We stayed in Hartford, that was a ghost town the entire weekend, but enjoyed it none the less.
On Sunday, we slept in!! Yes, I don't know when the last time I did that was. We had the duty of taking the groom to the chapel and to not be late. We managed not to get lost! Whew! The wedding was beautiful and the reception hall was GORGEOUS!

On Monday we drove back to JFK and boarded a flight home. We missed Gwen and Magnum lots. Enjoy the pictures.
