Friday Night w/ Fighter Pilots

It's finally the weekend! Fantastic! Well, it hasn't started off too good. Friday night I went with Jayson to the O'club to hangout with some of the pilots who are stationed here. As we walk in the door...you'd think I was some celebrity or something. I've never had so many eyes on me at once! Apparently they haven't seen an American girl in quite some time! hehe We stayed at the club for a while and then went over to "Delta". Hmmmm, what is "Delta"? A small shack where the squadron goes to on Friday nights to hang out. Lets just say bachelor pad times ten. There were a handful of pilots that put together a band. Now that's pretty funny!! We called it a night about 12:30.
This morning Jayson and I woke up early to go to Jeonju, about 30 min. away, and do some shopping and go to lunch. We took our piece of metal on wheels. As we were driving down the freeway we started smelling something, like brakes burning. We kept going. When we got off the freeway a truck next to us honked and pointed to the hood of the car. As we looked out the window, well... there was smoke pouring out of the hood. Not only that, but the car was doing some crazy things at that moment. We pulled of to the side of the road. As we opened the hood, one of our belts was on FIRE! Now for those of you who know me, I shot out of the car so fast! I proceeded to ask a woman near by for water, but she looked at me crazy. I grabbed an empty water bottle to show her and she still stood there. As I was screaming at her that our car was on fire, she still had no clue what I was saying. By this time I thought our car was going to be fully engulfed in flames. I finally got her to get us some water and we put the fire out. We're not sure what happened, but we did manage to get the car back home. I was terrified the whole way home! So needless to say the trip to Jeonju didn't happen. Now what? We are off to look at another car for Jayson. What a day so far!
