The day started at 6:30am on Thursday, August 28th. My driver picked me up about 8am. Everything was going smoothly for about 20 minutes or so. We were on the 76 freeway almost to the 5, when all of a sudden... yup we had to pull over. Thank goodness for ziplock bags. I never leave home without them since I've been pregnant. I was truely embarrassed to say the least. The 12 1/2 hour flight was pretty uneventful...thank goodness! The last 2 hours weren't very good. I started feeling... well a little sick. I don't think the turbulance helped much and of course the smell of Korean food being eatten next to me. ugh! By the time the plane landed I was ready to get off. Of course everyone was taking their sweet time getting off, which is very different for Asians. They always want to be the first one at everything. Even if that means running you over in the process. I finally made it off. My first big whiff of the pure, clean Korean air... well didn't go well as I expected. Luckily, I made it to the nearest bathroom. As I was standing in line waiting to go through customs I was truly asking myself... what in the world was I thinking coming back out here with all these smells! It was back to being nauseated once again! I finally made it through customs and retreived my luggage. Thank goodness Jayson and I decided for him to pick me up at the airport rather than meeting him at the hotel. My feet looked like sausages. I didn't swell as bad as I thought I would, which was good. We finally made it to the Hyatt in downtown Seoul about 7:30pm on Friday, August 29th. By this time I had been awake for about 24 hours. I was so exhausted and I know I truly looked like it as well.
Here is a picture of Jayson kissing my belly when we saw him! He was so excited to be able to talk to Gwen and feel her kick.
